Cedar Hills Neighborhood Ready!
Go-Bag, 2-Weeks Ready

Updated Go Bag Presentation
We've updated and revised our original presentation on Go Bags! In this Cedar Hills Ready! QuakeUp! workshop, you’ll learn about the 3 evacuation levels so you’ll know when to leave during an evolving emergency, and how to organize your emergency supply kits to make sure you are ready to go. We’ll talk about under-bed kits, go bags (for 1 - 2 days), and evacuation kits (for 5 day - 2 weeks). We'll provide lists with suggestions on what to include and talk about how to pack your bags efficiently. We include a section on to calculate the amount of water you should store for emergencies and why its critically important to do so. Thanks to Barbara Bracken, Tualatin Neighborhood Ready! Coordinator, who is our generous and knowledgeable speaker.  See a detailed list of the sections in this video to navigate to the section you are most interested in. Scroll down to find additional resources for further research, including a transcript of the presentation with speaker notes. We recommend taking at least one action today in your preparedness journey. Share this with your family, neighbors, and friends!

Are you prepared for the next disaster? Do you have supplies ready? We are seeing an increase in disasters that require fast evacuation or sheltering in place. For example, the Sept 2020 fires in Oregon required many of our friends and family to evacuate with no time to spare. Some barely escaped with their lives. In our Zoom workshop, you'll learn about under-bed kits, car/work/school packs (for 1 - 2 days), go bags (for 5 day - 2 weeks), and home emergency supplies storage (for 3 weeks minimum). Barbara Bracken, Tualatin Ready! Program Manager, leads you through four disaster scenarios to help you create your own, personal go bag lists. Scroll down further to see more resources, including the Get Prepared Now! booklet.
